The Emperor's Chair - Endingen

I haven't been traveling for a while as I have spent the winter with my humans in our new home in Ireland.  But now we have gone on a new adventure and are in Germany at the moment.  We went to visit the small town of Endingen at the foot of the Kaiserstuhl mountain in the Rhine valley in south-western Germany.  Kaiserstuhl apparently means Emperor's Chair, but I didn't see an emperor nor a chair, but it was still a nice town.

Meeting Saint Wendelin

Also on our way home to Italy we stopped with some friends in Sankt Wendel in the Saarland region of Germany.  The town was named after Saint Wendelin who was a shepherd many years ago.  Here is a statue of him and a church dedicated to him:

One day went on a walk with our friend and her dog
Krümel, which means crumb in German.  We weren't the best of friends, because he was a bit bossy.  We went to the Silver Lake and had a swim together, although I was a little frightened of the murky water.

In the woods afterwards we found some strange stone sculptures

At Granny and Grandad's

I've been to my human's Mum and Dad in Germany two or three times this year.  They live in the countryside in a place called Unterjettingen.  I like it there, because they always give me nice treats, although no matter how much I asked they wouldn't give me the cheese.  They also have comfy sofas to lounge on and bid fields to roam around on.
