Short Stop in Hungary

On our way back from Bulgaria and Romania we stopped over in a country called Hungary, although I wasn't more hungry than usual.  We stayed with our old friends Krisztina and Alex.  It was nice to see some familiar faces!  They live in a small village in the middle of nowhere called NagyszĂ©kely.  Not even my human knows how to say that.  Our friends have a nice garden there, but there's not much else to see...

Clowning in Cluj

As my human had promised we went to see my bestest friend Negrud that we met in Bulgaria and his humans Adela and Dan in a place called Cluj.  He lives in a gift economy hotel, which means, it's a hotel where you don't have to pay if you don't want to.  You just leave some food or drink or money or anything if you like and live with everyone else in the house.  It has a lovely large common room where Negrud and I could clown about.

I also wanted to play with the cats, but they didn't want to play with me...

They also have a nice garden.  I especially liked the welly boot planters.

So if ever you find yourself in Cluj, apparently it's a nice place, but we didn't have time to explore, go and see our friends at Casa de Cultura Permanente.

Bumming Around Bucharest

On our way back from Bulgaria we passed through a country called Romania.  I had never been there before.  In the capital Bucharest we visited our friend Gabriel, who showed us around his city.  They obviously liked dogs there, even setting up a bronze statue to one.

It was a very busy city with a mixture of ancient and modern side by side.

At the end of the day I had my very own comfy bed to sleep on.

Sightseeing in Veliko Tarnovo

This is Eddie the Beagle reporting from his favourite bench in Veliko Tarnovo.  We visited this place in Central Bulgaria the other day without visiting anybody, just for a small holiday and to see the town.  It was very pretty.

We went for walks in the big park, where there was a big art gallery and a statue of some riders on horses.

And one day we visited an old fortress just outside the town.  In the middle there was a church with weird paintings inside.

Fun by the River

We went to visit our friend Stoyan in a small village called Dobri Dol near Parvomay in Central Bulgaria.  It was very close to the river so me and Stoyan and his two dogs Djungle and Krassi were playing in the water.

Most of the time we spent in his garden though, were I could romp around freely with Krassi.  Djungle was sometimes a bit grumpy with me.

Phew, Exhausted from Traveling

On this trip we seem to be somewhere different every few days.  After Tran we went to a place called Melnik in the Southwest of Bulgaria.  It's town famous for wine and rocks.  We went wandering around the streets whenever it wasn't raining.

One day we visited Philip in nearby Sandanski, who has a lot of animals which he showed us.

There were many more, but I liked the other dogs and the pigs best.
