Catching the Ferry

On the final leg of our journey back to Ireland we passed through Scotland to a place called Cairnryan.
On the way we stopped in the woods to go for a wee walk to stretch our legs.  It was called Glen of the Bar, although there was no bar anywhere near it...

When our ferry finally arrived the sun was shining.

The Lake District

From London we headed north towards Scotland for the ferry back to Ireland.  It's a long boring drive, so we stopped overnight in the Lake District by a lake called Ullswater.

We didn't have much time to go out for many walks, but it was still very pretty, even if the rain soon arrived.

And we met lots of little lambs:

The next morning the sun was out again, but we soon had to leave for Scotland.  More of that soon...

Hampton Court

The other day me and my humans went to London to see their daughter.  One afternoon we went to Hampton Court Palace, which is some big house where a king used to live.

It's right next to the river Thames and as it was a hot day I went for a swim fetching sticks out of the water and chasing ducks.  It was great fun!

Back Home!

After our long travels we finally arrived back home in Italy.  It's spring time so I just want to get out and meet girls.  The other day I ran away for a whole night and day.  My humans were getting quite worried, but luckily someone who recognised me at the bottom of the hill took me in and managed to inform my humans and they came to pick me up.

Yesterday we went for a day to the seaside.  First we went to Marinella di Sarzana, which has a very long beach.  There was a lot of debris washed onto the shore after the winter storms.

Afterwards we went to our favouritist beach.  We call the Black Beach, because the sand is all black, but it's actually called Punta Corvo.  It's near the village of Montemarcello.  Not many people go there, because you have to clamber down lots of steps to get there and climb them all back up again.

Meeting Saint Wendelin

Also on our way home to Italy we stopped with some friends in Sankt Wendel in the Saarland region of Germany.  The town was named after Saint Wendelin who was a shepherd many years ago.  Here is a statue of him and a church dedicated to him:

One day went on a walk with our friend and her dog
Krümel, which means crumb in German.  We weren't the best of friends, because he was a bit bossy.  We went to the Silver Lake and had a swim together, although I was a little frightened of the murky water.

In the woods afterwards we found some strange stone sculptures

I like to be beside the seaside...

The next place on our journey back was Norfolk, where we stopped with some friends.  One day while we were there we took a walk by the seaside in Hunstanton.  It was a windy day and there were many buggy surfers.  I especially liked playing with the twins Yana and Peter!

I even met one of my ancestors, a wolf!

Yorkshire - but no terrier in sight

We are on our way back from Ireland to Italy and on the way we stopped with some friends in Grassington, Yorkshire.  We went on a lovely long walk around the Yorkshire Dales, but we didn't see a single Yorkshire terrier all day.  We did see a lot of sheep though...
